In 1993 Luca Turilli decided to create a powerful symphonic metal band. All that combining with classical music Luca loved to play with his guitar. The first to join him was Alex Staropoli and Daniele Carbonera. These three now formed a band called Thundercross. To become the group that they are today Rhapsody have changed vocalist and bass player a few times. It now looks like they have found a vocalist good enough - Fabio Lione. A year after the start they released their first demo, Land Of Immortals, on which Cristiano Adacher did the singing

The demo came to start their way to the top. That´s because of Limb Music Products & Publishing that really liked the songs on it. Not long after the release the band got a proposal from the record company.

The band decided to accept the offer and soon they began promotion their music. Now when the group had access to more qualified equipment they started recording Eternal Glory. That demo pushed Rhapsody up in the business and the press started to write more about them. But Eternal Glory didn't solve everything. Shortly after the release two of the members quit Rhapsody, the singer Cristiano and the bassist Andrea.

Now the remaining part of the band, Alex, Daniele and Luca had to face the problem. Fabio Lione was the solution. As the former vocalist in a band called Labyrinth he was known by the depth and power in his song. With this four members Rhapsody now started recording their debut album - Legendary Tales. The album was recorded in Germany at the well known producer Sascha Paeth (Heavens Gate) who also helped Rhapsody with the bass parts. In October 1998 Rhapsody released Symphony Of Enchanted Lands in their own new style - Hollywood Metal. Here can we for the first time see and hear Rhapsody´s new bassist - Alessandro Lotta.

To sum up Rhapsody was founded to give the listeners a new musical experience, that while they spreading a message of good over evil.

1999 was a "mid year" for Rhapsody, but not for the members. Luca and Fabio both released a soloalbum. Read more about them on the "Membes-page".
